You Were Just a Dream

You were just a dream for me,

That's what I thought & assumed to be.

Because no matter how hard I try back then,

My feelings I can only tell with a paper & a pen.

You were just a dream for me.

All the pain I kept in my heart;

Wondering if you're too blind to see,

That in my life you played a great part.

Trying for the Nth time I say, "I love you."

I was hoping against hope when you said, "I love you too."
Then again you were just a dream for me

And as a dream you'll stay, as I continue my reality.
